When the teacher couple Kaufmann opened the school with 20 students in 1967, nobody could have foreseen the incredible development of Singapore, nor the progress of the Swiss School. Who could have imagined that 23 teachers would be looking after more than 150 students today?
In the first year of the school’s history, teaching took place at the former bowling alley of the Swiss Club. These times are long gone. With the new building, there is plenty of space in the new preschool block. The half circle holds the kitchen, two classrooms, the library, the staff room and the toilets. The old staff room has undergone some renovation and presents itself as the perfect handicraft room today. The surroundings are ideal, making you feel free during each recess.
With the realisation of the new masterplan and its buildings we have now space to host around 180 students.
