Grade 7- 10
Instruction for Grades 7 through 10, Secondary Level I, will take place at UWCSEA, where a Swiss teacher has been recruited by the Swiss School and UWCSEA who will instruct the students in German, French and Swiss Civics according to the Curriculum of the Canton of Zug. These courses are compulsory at the Secondary Level 1.
UWCSEA’s German language programme is offered to students joining from the Swiss School and covers the requirements to enable students to re-enter a Swiss or German school system anytime in their schooling.
In Primary 5 and throughout Primary 6, our students begin the process for a smooth transition to Grade 7 at UWCSEA. The objective of this transition is to help parents and teachers open the doors for a holistic scholastic career for each and every student.
Throughout Grade 7 and 8, students have a broad and balanced range of subjects. In line with UWCSEA’s ethos and mission statement students aim to discover where their strengths lie. In Grade 9, at age of 14, students are enrolled in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education GCSE/IGCSE, a mix of required and optional choice certificate courses culminating in external examinations at the end of Grade 10.
