International Baccalaureate (IB) / Grade 11 – 12
UWCSEA offers an academically challenging and personally enriching High School education to students in Grades 9 to 12. After completing the IGCSE/GCSE exams in Grade 10, students joining from the Swiss School can undertake another two-year course in Grade 11 and 12, Secondary Level II.
In Grade 11, at the age of 16, students can commence the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), an internationally recognized pre-university qualification programme. The two-year course ends in external examinations; graduates are also awarded a UWCSEA Diploma. This allows students to further their studies at universities in many different countries.
Despite the high academic demands of the programme, students are enrolled on the basis of much more than their academic profile. Commitment to service, a willingness to involve themselves in the many opportunities offered by the College and a belief that action and service can make a positive impact are equally important.
