- Can I visit the school to get to know the school better?Yes. We offer a private school tour where you have a talk with our Principal and get to tour around our premises. If you are interested, kindly write an email to info@swiss-school.edu.sg or call us at 64682117.
- When can my child start at the Swiss School in Singapore?We have a continuous enrolment policy, which means your child can join our school on any day during the school year.
- Do you have a Cut-Off Date at your school?We place our students based on their age as of the 31st of August of the year of entry. Please visit the admission page to view the grade placement table. - Do you have a waiting list?We do have waiting lists in some grades. If a grade is full, please submit an application to reserve your child’s space in the waiting list and we will inform you as soon as a space becomes available.
- What are the school times?Halfday: 8:30am – 12:50pm, Fullday: 8:30am – 3:20pm, Extra-Curricular Activities 1:45pm – 3:20pm. For Primary 5 & 6 students, we offer Extra-Curricular Activities from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
- Do you have a school bus service?D’best Bus Transport provides door-to-door school bus service to most areas in Central and West Singapore. Please visit the school bus page to see all areas and to submit an application. Bus Service.
- Do you offer Lunch Service?In order to ensure our children’s productivity, culinary delights are provided. The Lunch Service is available from Monday to Friday to all students from Playgroup II to Primary 6 who either have lessons in the afternoon, attend an Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA), or Full Day Offer (FDO). - Are you offering an afternoon programme?Yes. We offer to all students of Little Tots and Playgroup I a Full Day Offer from Monday to Friday, and for Playgroup II and Kindergarten students we offer a Full Day Offer from Tuesday to Thursday. As well as for all students of Playgroup II to Primary 6 Extra-Curricular Activities are offered until 3:20pm. For Primary 5/6 students, we offer Extra-Curricular Activities from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. - Are you accepting short-term students?Yes, we are accepting short-term students for a minimum of 3 months.
- Do you offer Mandarin or other languages?We offer Mandarin as an Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA).
- How do I register my child?You can send us your Application Form for admission to SSiS anytime during the school year and we will accommodate your child, as quickly as possible, depending upon availability. Registration.

- My child cannot speak German, can they join the Swiss School?Children who cannot speak and/or understand German will be accepted in our Early Childhood department. For our Primary section (incl. Kindergarten), we will have an assessment with the children to understand and see whether the German language skills are sufficient for successful school attendance at SSiS. - How does the bilingual concept work?Our Early Childhood department is run in English. In order to familiarize our youngest children with the German language, the children are supervised by a German-speaking teacher for 4 hours per week. We also offer a full-day programme (FDO) in German. From kindergarten on, the main language of instruction is German. In the first grade, reading and writing are introduced in German and English. In addition, other subjects are taught in English, with the proportion of English increasing as the children grow older.
- Until which grade does the Primary go?Our Primary section goes until Grade 6, meaning 12-years-old.
- What happens after Primary 6?Our Secondary I level programme is affiliated with United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA). Instruction for Grades 7 through 10 will take place with a Swiss teacher who has been recruited by the Swiss School and UWCSEA. This teacher will instruct the students in German, French and Swiss Civics according to the Curriculum of the Canton of Zug. In Primary 5 and throughout Primary 6, our students begin the process for a smooth transition to Grade 7 at UWCSEA.
