Before I came to the Swiss School in Singapore, I was living in Valais. However, I spent my childhood in several Swiss cantons (Vaud, Zurich and Valais) and also in Portugal (my mother’s native country). Growing up in these different places gave me the desire to discover the world around me.
During my years at school, I had a passion for languages and had the chance to visit a few countries including Italy, England and the United States. Later, I also had the opportunity to do a practical internship in teaching at the Swiss School of Bogotá in Colombia.
After graduating, I worked for a few years in mainstream schools, but very quickly I chose the path of special needs pedagogy to help more vulnerable children leverage their full potential.
In my spare time, I like to get out and explore nature. Whenever I get the chance, I travel. I am passionate about these immersions abroad, the richness that this brings personally and the cultural discoveries that ensue and last for the whole life! I’m also an animal lover and each time I travel I try to learn more about them and how to improve their situation.
Teaching at the Swiss School in Singapore give me the opportunity to practice the profession that fascinates me while discovering a new country and its culture. It’s a real human adventure that I am sharing with my son and my husband.
