What do children need to cope in the rapidly changing, digitised and multilingual world of tomorrow? And how must good teaching be designed to optimally prepare them for these challenges? These are questions that have surrounded and driven me professionally for over 20 years – first as a teacher of German, French, sport and general education, later as vice-principal of the Solothurn Vocational School (GIBS Solothurn) and finally, until my move to the SSiS in August 2023, as a lecturer for language and communication in teacher training at the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training (SFUVET). In addition to my teaching and school management activities, I have written several teaching materials and didactic manuals on German as a school language over the past 15 years.
Developing teaching, taking responsibility and communicating – three activities that excite me and which I now put entirely at the service of the Swiss school in Singapore. I am very much looking forward to leading the school into the future in its multicultural, dynamic environment together with the whole team.
