Master of Arts in Social Work (Family and Child Welfare) Certificate in TEFL, British council
I am Rashne Athayde. I am originally from India but have called Singapore my home for the last 23 years. Over the last 18 years, I have spent my time teaching English in Kindergarten A and in Kindergarten B. It has been both a fulfilling and wonderful experience working amongst the children. I enjoy teaching language in creative and interactive ways. My main aim here is to give the children a holistic approach to learning and to develop a joy for communicating in English. It gives me tremendous pleasure to see a child evolve in his ability to communicate by picking up words that grow in to sentences. Language opens up the world to us and brings us closer as one.
In my spare time I like to read, go to the movies, concerts, the theatre and travel. What I love most is to spend time with family and friends. I have enjoyed being part of the SSiS and am looking forward to continuing my work with the children and the SSiS Team in in the future. “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” Albert Einstein
