After three and a half years as director of the Swiss School Curitiba in southern Brazil, I have arrived in Singapore in 2020. I look forward to working in this modern, multicultural and dynamic design of the globalized future. In my life I was always driven by the attraction of the new and my fascination with cultures.
I originally completed an apprenticeship as a high school teacher for history and geography. As a teacher, I worked at various high schools in Basel, at a private school in Geneva, at the German School in Quito, at the Swiss School in Mexico and Madrid. In addition to my actual subjects, I taught German at almost all levels.
For me, life means learning and learning means growing – growing is life.
Because of my need to organize systems, make organizations more efficient and constantly improve their quality, as well as my desire to take on new challenges, to make a difference, to grow, I was always happy to take on management tasks and project responsibility.
At the Swiss School in Bangkok, I was able to take responsibility for the development of teaching and during my engagement in Thailand I got to know the richness of Asian cultures for the first time. Soon afterwards there was the unique challenge of taking over my own Swiss school in Curitiba as director, which I gladly accepted.
