My name is Jean Pierre Mohn, a Swiss citizen having lived in Singapore since 2012. My wife and I are proud parents of twins born in 2016 and currently attending primary school at the SSiS. In my private time I like to stay active with different sports as well as spending time with the family, at home or travelling.
My professional life has been mostly around the topic of Finance, Economics and Business Management. I am currently the CEO of a small SFO investment business which manages both, capital markets portfolio as well as private market investments. The business engages in management consulting services for boards and CFOs in the areas of CFO advisory, Business Development and Market Access. We take board and advisor roles for significant portfolio companies and act either as CFO advisor from a board perspective, as operational CFO or lead special projects in Finance, IT or Business Development.
During the previous 20+ years, I had been working in senior management positions in the banking industry as well as a financial auditor and corporate finance advisor for large and medium sized corporations. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of St. Gallen and I am trained in board roles under different jurisdictions.
The Swiss education system is one of the best of its kind and enjoys a world leading reputation with some of its universities constantly ranking amongst the highest within their peers. The system represents an excellent brand and a perfect product of quality to be exported and made available not only for those Swiss citizens that live abroad but also for many others who appreciate and share the same values. The early school years form the basis of the quality of the individuals that are growing up for generations to come. My time spent and the contribution made to the SSiS is part of my own giving back to the community in an attempt to further strengthen and develop the excellent international network of “Swissness”.
